I am Dr. Sanjay D. Gaikwad the contact teacher of Smt. Parvatibai
Chowgule College, Margao, Goa for the youth summit.
I
teach geography, GIS, Remote
sensing, and Digital Image Processing
at postgraduate Geography and
M.Sc. IT. I like environmental
geography, also guiding students
for project in urban, agricultural,
wildlife and environmental geography
for searching the spatial correlation
and resultant effects of the
macro and micro climate and
other physical determinants.
Being a son of farmer of a very
small village of drought prone
area of south Marharashtra,
I have had love and affection
for plants and animals.
Presently
residing at Margao (Goa) and
experiencing a lot of difference
in climate and overall environment.
I can understand the effects
of hot and cold climate, drought
and floods. I like reading and
research in open environment.
I feel happy when I am in a
farm or a forest. I like to
observe the change in the nature.
I am proud to say that all you
are going to visit my region
where I was born and brought
up. The place Panchgani is just
3hours west to my native place.

I am Anjali Mehta from Smt Parvatibai Chowgule college. During
my leisure time I love reading, dancing, watching television and sleeping.Goa
is an exotic place with beaches, churches, temples etc.I have attended
many nature trips but this is surely going to to be the best. I am
in love with nature and want to make the way it was, so I am really
very happy to share my solutions to solve its problems.

Hi, My name is Anushka Rodrigues from Smt Parvatibai College
of Arts and Science-Goa.
My hobbies are listening to music, and playing different outdoor games.
I also like reading different types of books.In school I did take
part in an ecological competition for rain water harvesting.I also
love going for nature trails and have gone for treks when I was in
school.
I am really interested in going for this ecological summit because
it will give me an opportunity to meet new people and learn new things
about the environment. |

Hi, My name is Tryphony Pereira.I love drawing, reading,
listening to music and playing games. I have attended quiet a no.
of camps in school wherein we went hiking and trekking. This being
my first eco summit I look forward to explore more abut nature. As
a concerned citizen I want my country to be better place to live in
with a clean and healthy environment. This would be a nice experience
to meet people and know their cultural aspects. . I like reading books
on nature too.
I am very glad to be a part of this international summit. |

My name is Nivedita Bagchi . I have interest in dancing,
listening to music, cycling, traveling. I am a naturistic person,
and I love admiring nature’s beauty. Im aware about Goa’s
eological problems.
I am a sporty person, and I love playing cricket and badminton and
I have played for my school for the latter. I have attended the camps
held by my school for guiding. I am also an NCC student.
I feel very lucky to have been selected for this international ecological
summit and share the environmental problems faced in my state with
other students coming from across the world! |

Hi I am Mayuri Kanekar, a science student of the Smt Parvatibai
Chowgule college of Arts and Science. My hobbies include listening
to music and observing nature. I feel that I have got a golden opportunity
to attend this summit.
Goa is a very beautiful place with lovely beaches and a pleasant climate.
There are beautiful churches, temples etc to visit!!!I was a member
of the nature club in school. I have attended many educational trips
and camps. I have also done certain enjoyable activities like trekking,
rappling, rope crossing,river rafting etc!!! |

My name is Ravi Kumar Roy. My hobbies are travelling, site
seeing, reading bout space and reptiles. I have been to many places
such as Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, Bhopal, West Bengal Jharkhand etc.I have
observed the difference in infrastructure and climate in these places.
I have participated in all Goa state level exhibitions on 3 occasions
where I had displayed models of roof water harvesting, working of
laptops etc. I am glad to participate in this international summit.
This summit will really help me to gain a lot of knowledge and I will
also have a great experience. |

I’m excited to go for this summit because I love interacting with people. I’ve attended many camps during my school days. I’ve excelled at firing at the NCC camps. am Ketan Desai currently studying in Smt.Parvatibhai Chowgule College.My
hobbies are listening to music, sight seeing, playing games like football
and swimming etc.I have visited sights like the Taj Mahal, Lotus Temple
and many other holy places. I have observed variation in climatic
conditions and environmental surroundings. I have also taken part
in all Goa trek and have participated in activities like mountain
climbing, grappling etc. I am delighted I have joined this international
summit as it involves learning as well as awareness and fun. One can
also get to know about environmental conditions in neighbouring states
and countries. This summit will also help me in creating new friendship
and international links. |

I am Omkar Dessai studying in Smt. Parvatibai Chowgule College. My
hobbies are reading books, and playing many kinds of games.I am interested

My state and national level participation
is only in sports and I have been
playing for the Goa cricket team

name is Clayton Mascarenhas. I am a student of Smt.Parvatibhai Chowgule
College . My hobbies are cycling, listening to music, experimenting
with gadgets etc. When it comes to computers and gizmos, I go nuts.
I have been for several camps and have taken part in activities such
as trekking, rock climbing, grappling; river crossing etc.I am also
enrolled in the National Cadet Corps. I have also taken part in science
exhibitions held at my school. I also love reading mainly about space,
electronics, cars etc. I am extremely happy to take part in this summit
because I feel that I will learn a lot from the people I will meet
and also learn about world issues etc. |

The best thing that can happen
to us is to be one with nature,
and this can happen only if
we understand ourselves. Well,
Im Dorlina Michelle Tereza (the
contact teacher) but loved to
be called Dorline. I teach biology
at Chowgule College and I love
every bit of it. The best and
most memorable experience of
my life of being close to nature
was, when I went trekking to
the Shola forests in Kodaikainal
in south India.
During
my free time I like reading,
listening to music and gardening.
I specially love listening to
instrumental music when I am
stressed out. I believe that
when one is close to nature
and really understand it, then
you are emotionally, spiritually,
and intellectually complete.
Well that said about myself,
I am really looking forward
to a new learning and sharing
experience at the Youth Summit.
